Abstract:

In the fall of 1991, Dr. Averett Tombes, Vice President for Research and Economic Development at New Mexico State University, established an Environment and Natural Resources Forum whose goal is to enhance the overall competetiveness of the university in obtaining funding for research and education activities in various disciplines associated with environmental and natural resources issues. The ultimate purpose is to find solutions to present and future environmental and natural resources problems.
